Oswald Hoffmann, former speaker for The Lutheran Hour which is the world's longest-running, Christian outreach radio program. It first aired in 1930 and is currently broadcast on more than 1200 stations. Dr. Hoffmann was the principal speaker during the 1955-1988 period. His sustained leadership nationally and internationally is an extraordinary achievement. Frederick H. Olert, born Dec 12, 1904 and died Nov 18 1995. He was educated in U.S. and Edinburgh and was a minister of the Presbyterian Church, USA and the Reformed Church of America. Dr. Olert served several major Presbyterian churches including First Presbyterian Church of Paducah, Kentucky, Knox Presbyterian Church of Cincinnati, Ohio, Second Presbyterian Church of Richmond, Virginia, Emmanuel Presbyterian Church of Los Angeles and Central Reformed Church of Grand Rapids, Michigan. D. Reginald Thomas, former minister of the First Presbyterian Church in Germantown, Philadelphia and the Brick Presbyterian Church in New York. Before coming to the U.S. in 1954 he served the Presbyterian Church in his native Wales. Reg Thomas authored two books, Love So Amazing and To Know God’s Way. He was the speaker on the Bible Study Hour for some 10 years. Kenneth D. Harvey, formerly Minister of the McCracken Memorial Presbyterian Church of Belfast, Northern Ireland during the tragic and tumultuous years of Northern Ireland's strife. His was always a voice of reconciliation. He was invited annually to the American Youth Foundation's Camp Miniwanca in Michigan and was a guest minister at numerous U.S. churches. Rev. Harvey died 2005 at his home in Belfast. This sermon entitled Oh God Make Me A Mountaineer was delivered the summer of 1976 at Kresge Auditorium at the National Music Camp at Interlochen, MI. |

James Montgomery Boice, speaker on The Bible Study Hour radio broadcast from 1969 until his death in June of 2000, served as Senior Minister of Philadelphia's historic Tenth Presbyterian Church. Dr. Boice was a prolific author and a noted theologian. This recording of The Westminster Brass features great hymns of John and Charles Wesley and a commentary by Dr. Boice.
